Description
Glen Prosen offers a sheltered Angus escape of wooded folds and open hill country, a gentle Highland outlook for someone who enjoys the gradual unfolding of a valley walk.
Dark pointed conifers form a dense block on the left shoulder. Below them, rounded broadleaf crowns gather around long patches of bright meadow. Near shrubs carry muted pink tips beside slanting grass, while bare upper slopes overlap in mauve and blue beneath broad cream clouds.
Looking up Glen Prosen from its eastern side lets the cultivated ground remain part of the mountain approach. Each grassy clearing supplies a little light between the trees before the wider ridges take over. The appeal for a walker lies in that succession of sheltered and exposed places, with the valley offering both a close leafy route and the prospect of higher ground ahead.
