Description
Goring centres on a pale stone bridge and church tower, with quiet river reflections and sunlit hills beyond creating a graceful view of the Thames-side village.
A leafy bank frames the river, where a row of pale arches carries the bridge towards a compact church and its square tower. Tall dark cypresses stand beside the churchyard, while fields climb the far slope in bands of soft green. The water catches the bridge and sky in long broken reflections, adding movement to the sheltered valley.
Goring sits where the Thames narrows between wooded hills, and this combination of bridge, river and village architecture speaks to the pace of a walk along its banks.
