Haverhill’s tall Gothic church tower rises above riverside houses and a willow-fringed bank, giving the Suffolk town a calm, green foreground beneath an open sky.

The church has pointed pinnacles, arched bell openings and a dark clock face set in pale stone. Behind the lower roofs, chimney stacks make a gentle uneven line against large cream clouds. In front, the river bends through clipped grass and dense trees, with ripples carrying pale reflections beneath the overhanging branches.
