Heorhiy Narbut, a central figure in the development of Ukrainian graphic design, produced this illustration for Ivan Kotlyarevsky's travesty of the Aeneid. The work reflects Narbut's deep engagement with historical motifs, specifically the aesthetics of the Ukrainian Baroque and the Cossack era.
