Description
The Isle of Islay pairs a line of white crofts with pale blue water, setting a calm shoreline against dark rock and long mountain slopes.
Large foreground boulders carry pale lichen and moss beside the inlet, while a low masonry quay pushes out from the shore. Dark tidal shelves divide the water into irregular pools of blue and grey. Behind the settlement, exposed pale scars break the green hills, and high banks of cloud gather over the ridge.
