Description
Keith crosses Moray's River Isla beneath an old stone arch, where tall trees, grassy banks and pale riverside houses frame a sheltered view of the town's historic Auld Brig.
Built across the Isla in 1609, Keith's Auld Brig is Moray's oldest surviving dated bridge. The granite-rubble structure has a single arch and once carried packhorses and road traffic. It remains a pedestrian crossing, linking the town's riverbanks through a much older route.
A pale arch spans blue-green water between grassy slopes. Tall trunks rise beside its right abutment, with cream houses visible through the trees above. In the foreground, white water curls around dark rocks before settling into long reflections. Full canopies suggest a summer afternoon, when the shaded river and sunlit bridge stone create a cool, enclosed scene below the town.
