Description
Kelvedon / Fingringhoe Wick brings a square-towered church to the water’s edge, with moored sailing boats, marsh grasses and glowing evening clouds over the estuary.
Kelvedon / Fingringhoe Wick is framed by a warm stone church with a tall battlemented tower, pointed windows and a slate roof. A low brick boundary follows the grassy bank, while three small sailing boats float on reflective water beneath towering cream and blue-grey cloud forms.
Visitors can follow the calm water through the foreground boats towards the church and the open horizon beyond. For residents, the combination of reeds, quiet moorings and the strong tower gives the scene a local rhythm: water changing with the light while the building keeps its steady place on the bank.
