Description
Kilbride Bay in Argyll curves around broad golden sand and turquoise tidal channels, with dune grass in front and the Isle of Arran rising across softly lit summer water.
Kilbride Bay is also known as Ostel Bay, on the southwestern edge of the Cowal peninsula. Its sandy shore faces south towards Arran, near the meeting of Loch Fyne and the Firth of Clyde. A path from Kilbride Farm provides the approach through this coastal setting.
A narrow sandy track drops between grassy dunes into an open sweep of beach. Shallow blue channels wind around pale sandbars, with small white waves further out. Green fields follow the curving shore on the right, while a distant mountain silhouette rises on the left beneath light clouds and a calm summer sky.
