Kilmartin Glen places two weathered standing stones above patchwork fields, with a rounded hill and broad sky lending the Argyll valley a quiet, open presence.

The taller stone fills the near field with a mottled grey surface, while a slimmer companion rises farther back among low grass. Beyond them, yellow and green strips run across the valley towards a rounded hill, broken by hedges and small groups of trees. Large cream clouds move across the blue above, giving the distant ground a softly lit, spacious setting.

Kilmartin Glen invites a slower look at the relationship between old stone and working fields. People who know Argyll and Bute may recognise the long views across the valley, where the upright forms remain fixed as the weather and colour of the ground change around them.
