Description
Kisdon Force in North Yorkshire shows a stepped waterfall pouring through limestone walls beneath a lone tree, a finely observed reminder of the Yorkshire Dales.
Sunlit water drops in narrow silver bands over blocky rock ledges, gathering in a shallow, stone-strewn pool. Dry-stone boundaries climb the slopes behind it, and the broad crown of an oak stands against a blue, lightly clouded sky. Mossy shadows at the ravine edges provide a cool counterweight to the honey-coloured ground.
