Description
Lannacombe Beach in South Devon brings turquoise waves onto a golden cove, with algae-green boulders, a red-roofed cottage and low grassy headlands beneath a bright summer sky.
Lannacombe Beach is a remote inlet on the South Devon coast between Start Point and East Prawle. Coarse sand and shingle meet rocky flats below low rubble cliffs. The South West Coast Path passes above this shore, connecting it with neighbouring headlands.
Large boulders coated in green algae fill the near edge of the cove. Beyond them, successive white waves run across turquoise shallows towards golden sand on the right. Below rolling green slopes stands a white cottage, its roof a warm red, while a rocky headland reaches out from the left. Pale clouds soften the strong summer sunshine.
