Description
Lealt Falls on Highland Skye drops through a leafy rock gorge below open heather moor, with pale mountain ridges beyond a narrow road under soft clouds in late summer sunshine.
Lealt Falls descends through a deep gorge near Invertote on Skye’s eastern Trotternish coast. A viewpoint looks down towards the river and the shore. Nearby remains recall the diatomite industry, whose railway carried material from Loch Cuithir to coastal works where it was processed before shipment by sea.
Two white drops descend between dense broadleaf trees, with dark vertical rock showing through the gorge. Above them, a pale road cuts across open green ground beside a slender utility pole. Pink and gold moorland stretches towards an angular mountain skyline. Full foliage and lightly clouded blue sky suggest late summer light, with the narrow cascade shaded by the surrounding woodland.
