Description
Leash Fen centres on a weathered round tower above broad green reed-fringed pools, its reflection resting among quiet channels beneath a softly clouded sky.
A rough stone tower rises from the far bank, its narrow arched openings and broken crown set against pale cloud. In the foreground, tall reeds lean across still water, where patches of floating vegetation interrupt the tower's dark reflection. Flat fields and a line of distant trees keep the scene open and low to the horizon.
Leash Fen speaks to people drawn to the quiet margins between water and farmland. The view rewards attention to small movements in the reeds and channels, while the old structure gives the wetland a fixed point within its broad, changeable setting.
