Brauner's work is held in major collections worldwide. 'Les arbres' presents three stylised trees against a pale blue background. The trees are rendered in simplified, almost geometric forms, with a palette of yellow, green, and pink. The composition is flat and decorative, with minimal shading or perspective. The tree on the left is a solid yellow shape, while the central tree is constructed from green and orange segments. The tree on the right is outlined in white with a pink interior. The ground is represented by a band of yellow blocks. The overall effect is one of playful abstraction, characteristic of Brauner's Surrealist approach.
