Description
Liddesdale beside Highland Loch Sunart opens across silver blue water towards layered mountain tops, with a winding lane, dark conifer slopes and small white houses in soft summer light.
Liddesdale occupies a wooded glen above the southern shore of Loch Sunart in Morvern. Its burn descends towards a small coastal bay, with estate cottages near the water and on higher ground. Forestry covers much of this part of the shore, below the open hills of the peninsula.
From the green hillside, a pale road curves past a small white house and disappears between dark conifers. The loch stretches diagonally across the view towards low wooded points and scattered cottages on the far bank. Behind, sharper mountains rise through successive blue layers. Tall cream clouds and leafy valley trees suggest summer light softened by coastal haze.
