Lower Meguro (Shimo Meguro) is a woodblock print from the series Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji, produced by Katsushika Hokusai during the Edo period. This series remains a primary example of the ukiyo-e genre, which focused on scenes of daily life, travel, and the natural world. Hokusai utilised the newly available Prussian blue pigment to achieve the deep, saturated tones seen in the sky and distant horizon, a technical choice that defined the aesthetic of his later career.

The composition depicts a rural scene in the Meguro district of Edo. In the foreground, thatched-roof farmhouses are nestled among terraced fields. Travellers navigate a winding path, providing a sense of scale and human activity against the rural backdrop. The eye is drawn towards the distant, snow-capped peak of Mount Fuji, which appears small but distinct on the horizon.
