The composition centres on the figure of Lucifer, depicted as a muscular, fallen entity positioned within a rugged, rocky environment. Aarts was a Dutch artist known for his technical proficiency in graphic arts, particularly lithography and etching. His work often explored themes related to mythology, human struggle, and the darker aspects of the psyche.
