Description
Lymm in Cheshire gathers around a still canal, where a brick arch frames a narrowboat and flower baskets brighten the white gables beside the water.
Lymm is a Cheshire village whose history is closely tied to water. The Bridgewater Canal passes through its centre, while nearby Lymm Dam provides a separate setting for woodland walks. The village cross and heritage centre offer further connections with its past.
A white gabled building leans over the left bank, its dark window frames picked out above red hanging flowers. Beyond the blue reflections, a broad brick arch shelters a green and white narrowboat. Railings edge the banks, while white flowers and sunlit grass soften the lower right corner beneath a mild summer sky.
