Description
Marsco (Skye) in Highland Scotland rises as a sunlit pyramid above a bright winding river, with a small stone arch and rusty heather set between green banks under late summer clouds.
This distinctive peak belongs to Skye’s Red Hills and is well seen from Sligachan. The usual approach follows Glen Sligachan before climbing towards Màm a’ Phobuill. Steep grassy ground leads to the narrow summit ridge, while the Fiaclan Dearg granite crag forms the mountain’s rugged right hand profile from the glen.
Blue water runs between pale gravel and dark boulders towards a small stone arch in the distance. Beyond the crossing, Marsco (Skye) forms a pointed gold and green crown above a belt of dark trees. Rusty heather borders the near grassy bank. Broad white cloud bands and warm light on the upper slopes suggest a clear day close to the end of summer.
