Description
Mealfuarvonie in the Highland Loch Ness hills rises beyond pale cottages and green pasture, with purple heather and dark conifers under a bright blue sky of soft late summer clouds.
Mealfuarvonie is also known as Meall Fuar mhonaidh, a prominent summit overlooking the Loch Ness area near Drumnadrochit. The usual walking approach begins near the end of the Bunloit road. A clear route climbs from the lower wooded ground towards rougher, often boggy upper slopes and the open summit.
A broad rounded hill rises behind mixed green woodland, its upper face marked by exposed grey rock. Pale cottages sit on the right slope beside a slender utility pole and a short white fence. Gold grass and purple heather cross the hillside above a smooth green foreground field. Full trees and warm cloud edges suggest gentle sunshine late in the summer.
