Meigle Sculptured Stone Museum centres a carved upright stone, creating a thoughtful interior view shaped by its ancient surface and interlaced pattern under soft window light.
Daylight enters through a tall window beside the display, casting a warm glow across the gallery. Smaller carved fragments sit on supports near the central slab, whose raised lines form a large circular pattern and bands of relief. The close arrangement lets visitors compare the details across the different pieces.
Meigle Sculptured Stone Museum gives visitors a chance to stand close to carved stones and study their patterns at human scale. The print recalls the quiet pause inside the gallery, where the large circular carving and smaller details reward a careful look at the stone’s surface.
