Description
Newgale in Pembrokeshire sweeps around a broad blue bay, its pale beach and white breakers viewed above a green coastal hollow under the high clouds of summer.
Newgale occupies the northern end of a long sandy beach on St Brides Bay. Around two miles of broad flat sands lie below a substantial pebble bank. The Pembrokeshire coast path follows this open shoreline, linking the bay with neighbouring headlands and smaller coves.
A grassy hollow opens through the foreground slopes towards pale sand and blue water. Long parallel breakers follow the curve of the bay, shrinking into the distance beneath low cliffs and green fields. Seed heads stand along the near right edge, while high white clouds cast soft shadows across the bright blue summer sky.
