Description
Nutbourne in West Sussex sits beside Chichester Harbour's northern inlets, with low marsh islands, quiet blue channels and a grassy bank giving this coastal view a broad, sheltered calm.
Nutbourne lies two miles east of Emsworth in West Sussex, at the northern end of Thorney Channel in Chichester Harbour. The village includes a ford south of its centre, and its position places it close to the low, tidal margins of the harbour.
The view spreads across shallow blue water dotted with low patches of green marsh. Narrow tongues of vegetation reach into the channels, mirrored softly on the smooth surface. A grassy slope and dark shrubs occupy the near bank, while a wooded strip marks the distant horizon. Cream clouds carry a faint pink tint, and full growth suggests late summer in gentle coastal light.
