Description
Pentre-Foelas in Conwy follows a shallow blue river past stone cottages, with white flowers along the banks and soft green hills beneath the clear light of a Welsh summer.
Pentre-Foelas stands between Betws-y-Coed and Cerrigydrudion in north Wales. The Afon Merddwr runs through the village before joining the Conwy river system. A restored flour mill, dating from 1815, records the part that flowing water played in local working life.
Grey cottages with red chimney pots line the far bank above a low stone wall. In front, the stream narrows between rough masonry and tall grasses, with scattered rocks interrupting its blue surface. A small stone building occupies the left edge; white flowers brighten the right beneath broad clouds and sunlit summer hills.
