Description
Pictish Stones stand tall in warm evening light, their carved spirals and animal forms rising above Moray fields beneath a wide sky streaked with gold.
The nearest upright slab fills the foreground with deep-cut circles, curling lines and animal-shaped carving, its rough dark edge turned towards the viewer. A smaller carved stone sits farther back among rounded boulders and long grass. Behind them, bands of ochre and russet fields run towards a flat-topped hill, with mauve clouds crossing the low sun.
