Description
Poolewe in Highland Wester Ross lies across broad blue water below pale rocky hills, with pine trunks framing white shore houses in the fresh green light of a summer day.
Poolewe stands beside Loch Ewe in Wester Ross, where the short River Ewe reaches the sea after leaving Loch Maree. Nearby Inverewe Garden is known for its subtropical planting. Mountains surround the village, placing this sheltered coastal settlement close to both inland freshwater and the open western seaways.
Tall pine trunks frame the left edge above dark shoreline bushes. Across the wide blue surface, white houses form a thin line beneath a broad pale mountain shoulder. Greener hills with exposed rock buttresses rise on the right, their lower slopes meeting the shore. Cream cloud patches and full foliage suggest bright summer weather over the calm inlet and its scattered coastal homes.
