Description
River Bà on Highland Rannoch Moor runs white between jagged grey rocks and pink heather, with open green ground stretching towards blue mountain peaks below soft clouds in late summer light.
This Rannoch Moor watercourse feeds the shallow Loch Bà within a wider network of upland lochs and burns. Water continues from the loch towards Loch Laidon and the River Gaur system. The shallow waters and connecting burns form part of the moor’s extensive upland drainage network.
Foam spills through a narrow rock cut channel before spreading into a calmer foreground pool. Angular grey slabs lean above the current, with pink heather softening the green banks. Beyond River Bà, open moor rises towards overlapping blue peaks carrying small remnants of snow. Cream cloud bands and sunlit vegetation suggest a clear spell late in summer across the exposed uplands.
