Description
River Eden in Cumbria bends through leafy pasture beside pale gravel banks, with blue reflections, spreading trees and a low line of hills beneath a bright summer sky.
Near Warcop in Cumbria, the river passes the village's old bridge and continues through a rural landscape of meadow and trees. Along this reach, exposed gravel banks interrupt the channel, with water turning around the inside of a broad wooded bend.
The River Eden fills the foreground with smooth blue water and dark tree reflections. A pale gravel tongue reaches from the left bank, narrowing the channel as it turns towards distant fields. Mature trees shade the opposite meadow, and low blue hills close the horizon. Cream cloud towers rise above yellow-green pasture in clear afternoon light, suggesting late summer.
