Description
River Little Ouse narrows between reed beds and rows of poplars, with two moored cabin boats marking the quieter scale of this low-lying Cambridgeshire stretch.
At Little Ouse, this lower reach runs through the flat fen country of Cambridgeshire. Grassy embankments flank the channel, and a small bench sits beside the near mooring. Slender utility poles trace the left bank while evenly spaced tree trunks extend along the opposite shore.
Deep blue fills the centre of River Little Ouse, broken by pale horizontal reflections and floating patches of green. Golden banks brighten the sides beneath a high, cloud-filled sky. A blue canopy distinguishes the nearer boat from the cream cabin beyond, giving the long view a pair of close, human-scale details.
