Description
River Moidart in Highland Lochaber flows blue beneath spreading leafy branches, with pale gravel banks and yellow flowering shrubs below steep green hills in the fresh light of late spring.
River Moidart descends through Glen Moidart towards the sea loch of the same name. Its course turns southwest through Loch nan Lochan and passes below Brunery Wood before reaching the coast. Lower stretches contain a succession of pools, with wooded banks beneath the surrounding Lochaber hills.
A large branch stretches from the left across the bright sky above rippled blue water. Rounded rocks project from the current, with a pale gravel bar exposed on the farther bend. Yellow flowers brighten bushes along the right bank below a steep green hillside. Fresh broadleaf crowns and the clear light suggest a late spring day in the sheltered river valley.
