Description
River Tay in Perthshire reflects pale stone bridge arches below wooded hills, with pink flower spikes and yellow green banks beneath soft white clouds on a clear summer afternoon.
River Tay passes Dunkeld beneath the stone bridge linking the settlements on its banks. Its catchment covers around two thousand square miles, making it Britain’s largest river basin. Tributaries including the Tummel gather water from the central Highlands before the Tay continues through the lower Perthshire countryside.
Four pale stone arches cross broad blue water below a forested hill. Warm reflections descend from the bridge piers in broken vertical strips. Pink flower spikes and small white umbels grow beside the near green bank, edged by a short low stone wall. Soft white clouds and fully leafed trees suggest a clear summer afternoon along the wide river.
