Description
Rockham Bay in North Devon follows a rugged line of grassy cliffs, with dark shore rocks, a distant white lighthouse and clear blue water beneath the bright clouds of summer.
Between Morte Point and Bull Point near Mortehoe, this bay belongs to a North Devon coast of rocky headlands and smaller sandy coves. The coastal path links it with Bull Point's lighthouse, passing maritime grassland and heath that support local wildlife.
At Rockham Bay, pale cliffs descend in steep folds towards dark rock shelves. Green slopes fill the foreground and continue around the curving shore, with hedged fields farther above. A small white lighthouse stands on a distant headland. Fine foam traces the rocks below, while bright blue sea and compact white clouds suggest a clear summer day.
