Description
Sandwood opens onto a long pale strand beneath steep russet cliffs, where a flat-topped headland and bright Atlantic water give the Highland coast a clear, windswept calm.
A broad sweep of sand curves along blue-green water beneath layered dark rock and an almost level-topped headland. Low surf breaks in fine white lines, while heather and grass cover the foreground ledges under a sky scattered with pale cloud. The composition keeps the beach open and the cliff face monumental.
