Description
Scafell dominates this Cumbrian mountain view with dark gullies, pale scree and a rough boulder path leading from the foreground into the high, folded fells.
Jagged grey crags run down the face of the central mountain, broken by narrow green ribs and pale scree chutes. A rocky path begins among large angular boulders in the foreground, then disappears across a dark shoulder. On the right, a lighter ridge drops into a deep valley, while cloud layers soften the upper sky without obscuring the summit.
