Description
Seahouses in Northumberland is a fishing harbour and departure point for the Farnes, with colourful working boats reflected in blue water behind a sea wall facing the low offshore islands.
Boat trips from Seahouses connect the Northumberland mainland with the Farne Islands, known for seabirds and grey seals. The village has a long fishing history, and its harbour remains central to both working coastal life and visits to the offshore wildlife colonies.
Orange, blue and white boats crowd the protected water, their cabins and masts reflected in short ripples. A turquoise vessel stands ashore behind the quay railings. Beyond the pale sea wall, low islands interrupt the darker blue horizon. Yellow flowers brighten the nearest grassy edge. Clear light and flowering plants suggest summer, under soft pink-white clouds.
