Description
Stackpole in Pembrokeshire frames an empty cream beach between steep green-topped cliffs, with white waves entering blue water and a narrow path above the sand in soft summer sunshine.
The Stackpole Estate lies within the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, where limestone cliffs and sandy shores meet woodland and freshwater lakes. Bosherston’s ornamental waters form part of this former designed landscape. Footpaths connect the lakes with the coast and its sheltered beaches.
A grassy ledge on the left carries the eye towards pale sand enclosed by tall cliffs. Their grey faces descend sharply beneath smooth green caps. Blue water fills the opening between the headlands, with narrow white breakers curling towards the beach. The cove is empty and still, its sheltered shape emphasised by the soft light of a clear summer day.
