Description
Stob a' Choire Mheadhoin in Highland Lochaber rises beyond deep blue water in a long green ridge, with pale rock ribs and drifting valley clouds under clear skies on a summer afternoon.
This 1,106 metre Munro shares a substantial north to south ridge with Stob Coire Easain. The pair are usually climbed from near Fersit, above Loch Treig. Other approaches cross from Lairig Leacach or the loch head, with long traverses possible between Corrour and Tulloch railway stations.
Stob a' Choire Mheadhoin rises across a long strip of dark blue water, its green slopes divided by pale rock ribs and shallow gullies. A sharper distant crown appears just behind the main ridge. Grey boulders occupy the near grassy ledge, while low white clouds drift between the farther blue mountains. Clear upper skies and snowless ground suggest summer afternoon conditions.
