Description
Stob Diamh in Highland Argyll catches orange evening light along a golden crest, where purple heath and dark boulders frame distant branching water beyond the steep slopes.
Stob Diamh is a second Munro on the eastern Cruachan ridges in the horseshoe of mountains surrounding Cruachan Reservoir. High ridges connect the summits above this upland basin, creating a distinctive mountain circuit in the Argyll Highlands north of Loch Awe.
A narrow golden ridge leads towards a dark rocky crest, with steep shaded faces falling away to the left. Grey boulders and purple heath cover the near ground. Beyond the mountain, branching water and layered distant hills catch the low orange sun. The warm grasses suggest autumn, while peach clouds and mauve shadows give the whole view the subdued glow of evening.
