Description
Stornoway glows beneath a warm sunset, with harbour boats resting on still water and the clustered town settled along the far shore in evening light.
Branches spread across the upper edge, silhouetted against bands of gold, orange and pink cloud. Below, the town follows the harbour curve, its pale buildings reflected in the calm water. Sailing boats sit apart from larger vessels, while wooded slopes and a low distant ridge complete the view.
Stornoway’s harbour is a natural point of arrival and departure for the Outer Hebrides. The boats and close-set waterfront buildings suggest the everyday movement of a working island town, while the late light softens the shore.
