Perugino employs a balanced, symmetrical structure that is characteristic of his work during this period. Each figure is draped in garments with clear, rhythmic folds, and they hold scrolls inscribed with Latin texts that relate to the coming of Christ. The figures are spaced evenly across the foreground, creating a sense of order and clarity. The background consists of rolling hills and sparse trees, a motif frequently seen in Perugino's compositions to provide depth without distracting from the primary subjects.

The colour palette is composed of muted earth tones, soft blues, and warm ochres. The light is even, avoiding dramatic shadows and contributing to the serene atmosphere of the scene.
