He is best known for his frescoes in the Magi Chapel of the Palazzo Medici-Riccardi, Florence. The fresco presents the evangelists in a symmetrical arrangement, each within a triangular section of a vaulted ceiling. The figures are rendered in soft colours, with careful attention paid to drapery and facial expressions. Each evangelist is accompanied by their traditional symbol: an angel for Matthew, a lion for Mark, an ox for Luke, and an eagle for John. The architectural framework surrounding the figures is adorned with geometric patterns and classical motifs, typical of Renaissance decoration.
