Description
The Overland Launch, Lynmouth centres on a cream lifeboat vessel moored below high mountains, with sunset light spread across the quiet, still harbour water.
A cream and black launch sits at the pier, its tall mast and dark funnel rising against a peach-coloured evening sky. Mooring ropes run from the bow to the timber quay. Behind it, steep mauve mountains descend into a sheltered inlet, while the water catches bands of gold and rose beneath the hull.
The Overland Launch, Lynmouth recalls the working harbour and dramatic ground that make this Devon coast memorable. A visitor sees the vessel as an immediate point of arrival; a resident can recognise the enclosed water and the steep slopes that define the harbour's daily horizon.
