Description
Tollie Bay in Highland Wester Ross opens beyond green fields and russet heather towards pale blue water, with a long mountain ridge beneath bright cloud towers in warm late summer sunshine.
Tollie Bay lies on Loch Maree near Poolewe in Wester Ross, with Tollie Farm occupying the nearby open ground. Across the water rises Beinn Airigh Charr, a 791 metre mountain. Woodland surrounds the loch margin, between the inland mountain slopes and the lower country approaching the western coast.
Green fields and rust coloured heather lead past a low pale farm building towards blue water. A broad dark mountain ridge rises on the left, its lower slopes broken by sunlit green shelves. Leafy woodland encloses the loch shore below more distant mountain layers. Grey boulders and a short pale road occupy the near ground under bright clouds, suggesting late summer warmth.
