Description
Tràigh Mheilein brings pale Harris sand beside a deep blue channel, with low rocky shores, clear turquoise shallows and distant island slopes opening beneath long bands of cream cloud.
A broken ridge of light stone descends along the nearest grassy bank. Across the water, dark green hills form a low enclosure on the left. A small offshore rock lies beyond the bright strip of beach, with larger distant slopes fading into a softer blue.
The retained source joins Scarp and Tràigh Mheilein in a broad coastal outlook on Harris. The clear separation between sheltered pale shallows and darker open water gives the bay its particular depth. Smooth sand sits close to the rough shore, bringing the softer and harder edges of this Hebridean coast into the same view.
