Description
Trebah Garden brings the depth of a Cornish planted valley to an indoor setting, with a glimpse of sheltered water making the greenery feel connected to the coast beyond.
Fern fronds and long leaves fill the near edge. A red stem stands out on the right, set against several layers of tree canopy. Through a small opening in the middle distance, blue water appears below a strip of fields and the further bank.
At Trebah Garden, the planted valley descends towards the Helford River. The gap between the trees is important: it places the dense growth within a larger coastal setting rather than presenting it as an enclosed woodland. For anyone who enjoys gardens where planting follows the lie of the land, the view offers that combination of close foliage and a destination further down the slope.
