He acted as a bridge between older and younger artists, including Monet and Cézanne. Pissarro's work often focused on rural and urban French life, particularly scenes of peasants working in fields and bustling cityscapes. He died in 1903. 'Trees in Bloom' depicts an orchard in springtime, likely painted en plein air. The composition features several trees in varying stages of bloom, their delicate white blossoms contrasting with the rough texture of their branches.
