Description
Yr Aran in Gwynedd rises as a pointed summit beyond open valley slopes, with a blue lake and dark conifers adding depth beneath the soft light of a clouded Welsh sky.
Near Rhyd-Ddu, this outlook crosses Cwm Marchnad towards a distinct conical mountain in Gwynedd. Rough grassland covers the lower slopes, with a stream in the near hollow. A lake occupies part of the valley below, while bands of trees mark the ground between the water and the distant peak.
Yr Aran stands above layered ridges at the far end of the view, its upper face softened by purple shadow. Golden grasses run diagonally across the foreground among scattered grey stones. Dark conifers gather along the middle slope, contrasting with the pale lake on the left. Long cream clouds leave patches of blue above the broad upland basin.
