Description
Tamatori descends alone beneath the boat along a taut five-coloured line, her small figure entering the dark water while waiting hands hold the surface above.
At the edge of the dive, she leaves the working vessel and follows a bright cord down. The surface recedes overhead while a pale figure is drawn into darkness. Her purpose remains the promise made for Fusasaki. The few figures above stay connected without interrupting the downward pull. Open water gives her distance a physical scale.
This contemporary interpretation stretches the composition from surface to depth, using a bright rope, dark water and a pale descending figure as its main structure. The open field leaves the danger understated and lets the line carry the eye from one world into another. It is the second print in the four-scene story, moving from promise to deliberate risk.
